Grade 11/12 Pod

The Grade 11/12 pod is the closest that Bakerview Centre for Learning comes to a mainstream school environment. Students attend full day programs and generally take 4 courses in the first semester and 4 courses in semester two. Students participate in teacher led classes with their peers and can also select some self-paced electives throughout the school year. The expectation is that students will attempt 8 courses in a school year and have two teachers in total. This program has a focus on place based learning and learning on the land by incorporating traditional knowledge with historical learning while in nature.
