Happy New Year and welcome 2025! We had a wonderful holiday season at Bakerview and hope all our students and families were able to connect and recharge over the holidays.

Indigenous Department

This month we are learning about the significance and making of Ribbon Skirts.

On January 22nd, Bakerview is hosting our second Status Clinic on site to support families navigate applying for Status.

Our Friday morning Halq'emeylem language class starts up again this week and remains open to all interested students.

Careers

Our volunteers continue to contribute as supports for Reading Buddies, Gleaners and the Food Bank. We are very proud of their hard work and dedication to improving our local community!

On January 16 our students have an opportunity to tour Riverside College and learn about post secondary options.

Seet is hosting the following presentations this month: Skilled Trades BC and Employment Specialist. We are also offering First Aid Training on Jan 29-30. Students can connect with their classroom team for more information.

In preparation for entering the work force, students are encouraged to have one "SERIOUS" email address that they check on a daily basis.
