Parent Advisory Council (PAC) - Bakerview

Parents, Guardians and Caregivers,

Welcome to the 2019/20 school year at Bakerview Centre for Learning. Bakerview Centre for Learning, like every public school in British Columbia, has a Parent Advisory Council (PAC). The role of the PAC, as outlined in the School Act of British Columbia, is to “…advise the board and the principal and staff of the school…respecting any matter relating to the school…”

The Bakerview Parent Advisory Council has three scheduled meetings per year, in October, February and May. No fundraising is involved. If you are interested in talking about why our school operates and who it is intended to support, would like to have input into how our school runs, and/or feel it is important for parents/guardians/caregivers to be actively involved in the education of the youth they care for, please plan to attend our introductory meeting of the 2019/20 school year, scheduled for Monday, October 7th starting @ 4:00pm here at Bakerview. The meeting will be no more than one hour and refreshments will be served.

You are welcome to simply show up for the meeting, or you can email me at in advance if you have questions, would like to propose a topic for the agenda, or are interested in being involved but are not available to attend this first meeting.

I look forward to seeing you on October 7th!

Phil Cookson
